hi, i'm Janae
I am a learning experience designer and UX professional. I build human-centered experiences for the people institutions tend to leave behind, making accessibility and inclusivity structural rather than cosmetic, and designing for real user freedom instead of a single locked path.

Understand the System
I begin with the experience or product as a whole rather than its parts, looking at how it operates, whether its processes actually function, and where it can improve.
Research the Experience
From a whole-system perspective, I conduct research to evaluate the health of the design or product itself and the users' experiences within it. This lets me work from concrete data while also determining what users aren't telling me, and what might be valuable additions in future iterations.
Recommend and Refine
Using established UX principles and the data, I offer remedies and recommendations to improve the product, along with design adjustments that better fit its user group.
